Meet Our Founder –
Pam Johal
Sunder Law is led by Pam Johal, a Barrister and Solicitor licensed in Ontario. Born and raised in Mississauga, Pam completed her LLB at Keele University (UK) and returned to Canada to complete the Internationally Trained Lawyers Program at the University of Toronto. Her diverse legal training and personal background provide a strong foundation for her work with clients from all over the world.
Pam’s experience extends across refugee hearings, appeals, Federal Court applications, humanitarian cases, and complex admissibility matters. As the daughter of immigrants, she brings deep personal understanding to her practice—ensuring that clients are not only represented legally, but also respected and supported throughout the process.
She is fluent in English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu, which enables her to communicate effectively with clients from varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Outside of her legal practice, Pam is a proud mother of two children who inspire her every day and keep her grounded. She enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, and celebrating the richness of traditions from around the world—experiences that continue to inform her inclusive and empathetic approach to advocacy.
